Cheddar’s Menu

Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

We have been to Cheddar's navy times for the fantastic food and great value (the prices are low for high quality meals)! Our service was really pool. Although the waitress was nice it took us 2.5 hours from being seated to leaving due to slow service. Our appetizers came out with no plates, there was no salt/pepper on the tables, our dirty dishes were not cleared before our main course arrived, we had to ask to have our drinks refilled, and so on. When the manager stopped by to ask how our night was, we kindly reported that service had been very poor with a few examples. We did not receive as much as an "I'm sorry" she just listened said "oh" and walked away...very awkward!

The family and I had an enjoyable dinner here at Cheddar's. I didn't really want to go to a Cheddar's for dinner. I've never liked cheddar cheese. All I knew about this place was that it was a chain restaurant with locations in Florida, Texas, and a couple other states. But, I was overruled by a hungry wife and daughter after some people recommended this place to us. As we entered in the restaurant, we could see the restaurant was nicely designed. It was a welcoming place. There was no wait at all as the hostess seated us immediately. Our waitress was a nice and professional. She was good at giving suggestions on what to order. She gave us plenty of time to look at the menu. We ordered a Blackened Salmon with bourbon sauce for my wife, a child's mac n cheese, a sirloin steak and rib combo with mashed potatoes for myself. The waitress also suggested that we order their croissants, which we did. Their croissants were large and were basted with honey and butter. They are not the small Pillsbury ones that you get from the supermarket. They were jumbo, and were nice and soft. Honey buttered croissants were delicious! The wife's salmon was flavorful and moist. The bourbon sauce made the salmon taste great. The salmon also came with a side of rice and broccoli. My wife almost didn't want to share with me. My sirloin steak and rib combo came with mashed potatoes and broccoli. The barbecue ribs were okay. The steak was perfectly cooked for me. I should have ordered the steak with out the rib. The daughter loved their mac n cheese and finished everything. The prices at Cheddar's was very good and inexpensive. Everything that we ordered was under $15. What a nice little chain restaurant! The food is good. The price is low. I wish they had a Cheddar's in California, because if they did, I would be back.

They are rude about the wait. They told us 30 minutes but after an hour they are rude when we ask about the wait. Well I insisted on speaking to "the manager above you" when the little girl at the front reception desk claimed to me she was the manager, and we finally got seated in two separate booths. Then they messed up the orders... Then completely forgot my daughters order and the croissants ordered... Then I had to go to the bathroom and it stunk! And they were out of soap to wash your hands... It may sound like I'm just being a complainer but I'm not! The food was certainly very yummy. The young waitress needed more training but she was SWEET. They were more than willing to comp the food that we got late but we just wanted to eat!! It was quite the three hour experience-- granted it was a busy Saturday night and I know MOST of the staff was trying hard.

I come for the honey butter croissants, as they are delicious! The service is pretty good, as the wait staff do their best to make yo comfortable. The only complaint I have, is the made from scratch sides of Mac and cheese is not cheesy for a place called "Chedders", as it's a bit dry and served Luke warm. Other than that, it's a nice place to eat.

Total fan of this restaurant! I came here for the first time with my family, and I must say that I was very surprised of the quality of food and service. We went in on a Saturday night at 5:00pm so it was certainly packed beyond words. At first I was bothered of having to wait 45 mins for a table, since I thought this would just be another "Chilli's or Applebees" However, we decided to give it a shot and went to the bar for a drink while we waited, but to our surprise, there were tables in the bar area we were able to use without having to wait for a booth. As I was looking at the menu, I couldn't believe none of the drinks were even close to $10 considering they were huge and looked delicious. I went ahead and ordered the Texas Strawberry Lemonade, which was part sangria and part Margarita, and it was a total winner! My mother-in-law ordered the Cheedar's Painkiller, which tasted a lot like a Pina Colada but it had toasted coconut and honey on the rim of the cup... talk about super yumms!! We ordered their Ultimate nachos as an appetizer, and while they were regular nachos with cheese, beef and the usual toppings, they were AMAZING! The nacho chips tasted like they were homemade, and the beef had a phenomenal flavor. For my main dish, I was torn between the Half Rack of BBQ Ribs and Shrimp and the Key West Chicken and Shrimp. I ended up getting the latter one, and I def made the best decision! When my dish arrived to the table, my mouth completely watered from the looks and smells emanating from the plate. This dish consisted of a perfectly grilled and juicy chicken breast and shrimp with a sweet pineapple pico de gallo on top, all which sat on a bed of rice. Now, to top it all off, my dish came with 2 sides and I got the Broccoli Casserole as a recommendation from my waitress. This is by far the BEST broccoli dish I've had in my life. Now, it wasn't the healthiest one, but it consisted of chunks of broccoli, melted cheddar cheese, rice and bread crumbs.. HELLO!!! happiness in my belly :) While everything was almost perfect, my husband never got the bread that came with his dish, which we told our waitress a couple of times. I know the restaurant was busy, but I will be honest and say that it aggravated me a little bit that my husband didn't get his full meal. However, was soon as we told our waitress that the bread never arrived and my husband was done with his food, she sent the manager over to apologize and offer us some free dessert. I really enjoyed coming here overall because the food was great, and the prices even better. I will certainly be back next tiem we are in town!

Only reason I'm giving this a 4/5 star is that they always have the longest wait times ever... but, they may be a good thing. Their food is great and freshly made to order. Also, their prices are not bad for the quality of food provided. It's hard to believe that this is a chain restaurant. It's very good!

Please explain to me why this place is so popular? I was not impressed. It was like a dressed up Chili's. My entree was meh. It was so unmemorable I literally forgot what I ordered. But to be fair I've been told that their burgers and salads are where they shine so I might give that a shot some time in the future. Though to be honest I'm not exactly thrilled to go back.

I have never been to Cheddars before so we chose to eat there this evening. I have to say, I was impressed. The service was great and we liked our food. I had a Mango Mojito and it was awesome. My fiancée had that and The Painkiller. The Painkiller was very coconutty and HUGE. We had the sampler appetizer with potato skins, cheese bites, and chicken fingers. It was a lot. Then, for our main course, I had the baby back ribs with black beans and green beans while my fiancé had a burger. The ribs were so tender that I couldn't eat them off the bone. I had to use a fork. The black beans were wonderful. The green beans were good. We wanted to try a dessert but the food we ordered was so much we were way to full. I'll definitely go back another time.

I'm not sure what kind of people are giving this establishment 5 stars. Obviously people who value QUANTITY over QUALITY. Yes, the servings are huge but the food is mediocre at best. The onion ring tower was appetizing and not greasy, probably the best thing we ordered. The waitress we had was busy getting the checks for a huge party sitting next to us while our food probably sat under a heat lamp in the restaurant kitchen for a good 20-30 minutes. After several years of eating out it's easy to tell the food has been sitting a whole while when it comes out greasy, overcooked and dry. I ordered the burger and specifically asked to have it cooked medium. It came out chewy like a twizzler and was super greasy. My friends' soup came out cold and my other friends' lemon pepper chicken had also dried out just waiting to be served in the kitchen. We gVe the desert shooters a try. First of all, the dessert shooters taste like of the fridge that they came out of. The smell like the freezer. The strawberry cheesecake dessert shooter does not have cream cheese in it, but rather tastes of a weird mix of ricotta. Very displeasing. The key lime dessert shooter was more on the bitter end, and there was more graham cracker than curd itself. Did I mention that our waitress THREW the dessert on the table? Like, if you can't carry a plate, you should not be a waitress. This was my second time dining here, and I'm definitely not returning. It's a shame because this place is right across my home and I would be a regular if they were any good - which, for the record they are NOT! Two strikes and you're out!

They are friendly here - training a new waitress. I wanted the Buffalo chicken tender wrap but I didn't want a wrap. I wanted an actual sandwich so they made the substitution to a hoagie roll with no complaint. I wish they had more sauce and not so much cheddar on the sandwich but I guess cheddar should be expected at Cheddar's. This place is better than TGIF in my opinion but not so much better that I would frequent the chain.

  • Nicole R.

This is the second time my friend and I have been here and we were hopeful that it would be better than the last but it may have been even worse. The waitress was extremely slow at brining out our food, the food was ice cold by the time we got it and plates and drinks were literally thrown down onto the table. I don't understand how this restaurant has such high reviews. The only reason I am giving this place two stars instead of one is because of the deliciousness of the onion rings. Out of all of the restaurants in Melbourne, I KNOW I'm not coming back to this one.

Good food, great price and friendly staff! It's my go to restaurant when I'm in Melbourne area.

Great customer service, ambient atmosphere. Get onion rings for appetizer, very good, you'll love, big enough for 3-4 friends. I had Ribeye steak for an entree, good enough, to come back for it. Very busy place, so be ready to wait 15-30min.

I like this place because you can eat really well for not much compared to other restaurants. Their food is so tasty, and literally everythjng I've ordered there I enjoyed. Appetizers, entrées, drinks, and desserts... They are all great!

Large portions , family style , great prices and ok service. It's a chain restaurant. One of the Darden family. But it'd ok. I recommend the ribs. Realy good stuff . We like it because we can seat the entire family. If you make reservations you can get a table for 12

My wife brought me to this restaurant and I am extremely pleased. Food was excellent service was great and the prices were reasonable. It is rare that you can walk away from a restaurant as pleased as I am with this meal.

Their onion ring tower is phenomenal! Next time I'm definitely getting the buffalo chicken wrap, tried a piece and it was sooooo good!! I ordered their chicken pot pie, it was pretty good, not like mama's though! I'll always refer to Cheddar's when there is one nearby!!

  • Heather P.

Food is good. My family and I ordered the appetizer sampler and it was awesome. My brother ordered a steak and it was good. The gluten free menu is very limited however (only four main dinner options and one side dish option). I ordered the honey dijon chicken & mushroom meal and it was good, but they drowned the rice, chicken and mushrooms in dijon. However, the honey croissants that come with salads were AMAZING!! My brother also ordered the chocolate cake for dessert and it was HUGE! I had the key lime pie shooter for dessert and it was the perfect size. Our waitress was very nice and made sure everyone had full drink glasses the entire meal and made sure we got to go drinks.

Price for the amount of food is great. I would always drive by and go some where else because it always loks so crowded but when we finally gave it chance, my wait was less than 10 minutes for a booth. Love the salmon, the ribs fal off the bones, the steaks are juicy and flavorful. I have not anything bad here. The drinks from the bar are great and not watered down. My last server was Lisa and she was funny, patient and al around great plus she had this cool head scarf that looked like a throw back to the old days of black and white movies!

Has everything but excels at nothing. Think, "Denny's but with a full bar."

They say third time is a charm, but in this particular incidence, the experience left much to be desired. To mirror what others have said, the wait time is extremely long, and you cannot call and secure a reservation so either A) Come before 5pm or B) Expect to wait at least 35-40 minutes. It doesn't seem that bad, but the waiting game continues on through the meal. The onion rings (which I highly recommend) were luke warm/cold, and I was too passive aggressive to say anything because it had taken 15-20 minutes to get the appetizer, and I didn't want to eat a "re-do" with my meal. The food itself is great, but the hassle of dealing with the high amount of traffic will really test your patience. Plus, it took another 15 minutes for our waitress to pick up the payment after dropping off the check, which to me was unacceptable. I understand things get chaotic, but it would have been nice to have an exit plan, like have someone else check us out, when servers become inundated. I won't be coming back. In in the time that its been open, it doesn't seem like they can manage the volume of people who come in.

Experience at this location on 2/17 on 192 was beyond terrible. As follows: - After our appetizer soups were served, it was near impossible to flag down a server for hot sauce so I eventually gave up to avoid cold soup. - We ordered one entree to split, because of my curbed appetite. A food runner delivered the food, but without an extra plate. I had to use the plate under my soup cup just to avoid flagging down a server. (Our server should of checked in on the plate.) - We had to wait several minutes for a bartender to come by so we could ASK for SILVERWARE. Isn't that supposed to be placed before the food comes? - We observed the service serve a melted plate of ice cream to a nearby couple. Explaining "Sorry bout that, sat in the window a little longer before I could get it" - My water was never refilled. That's absolutely unacceptable. - Dirty dishes remained in front of us. Even when she came to claim the money for the check. Once again unacceptable. I understand this is not fine dining, but I've received better service at an Applebee's probably even a Panera Bread. And the company website is completely down on receiving feedback emails. Must of went on the fritz on so many complaints. Smh

Excellent service. The server, Alvin, was very helpful. My first time in and he recommended all the right things. Management very personable and friendly. I had the Buffalo Chicken wrap half sandwich lunch combo. Came with two pairings. If you havent had their croissants, you must DEFINITELY try them! My pairings were the loaded potato soup and house salad. Not only is the food great, but the whole experience left me not only satisfied but stuffed as well. If you want to try something new and are down for some great comfort food, this is the place to go. I am very excited for a Cheddars to be opening near my current residence!

This decently sized chain restaurant has awesome small mom and pop feel to it. The service is impeccable and food is amazing. I ordered the onion ring tower because of the yelp suggestions and boy did it not disappoint! The portions are very generous and I suggest you get there early since it is quite popular in town!

An O'Charley's clone, but good! And cheap throwback prices...that must be the reaaon it's always packed.

Good for the price. You get a lot of value here. Try the nacho cheese with tortilla chips while you decide if you want to stay. The sandwiches are small, but inexpensive. The largest sandwich I found was the Monte Christo. Gators has a great one, but try this one as well. The steaks are very good as well for the price.

Lunch at Cheddar's was delicious!! Miso Glazed Salmon for me, Rib-Eye with Bourbon Glaze for my hubby. Everything was fantastic, great service. My husband had a Frozen Rum-Runner or two and they were great also. Delicious food, excellent service, great drinks excellent value. Always get a visit from management asking how things were etc. All in all a very pleasurable meal.

Been here a few times while in town for business - good food with an above-average ambiance (if a little too dark) for the affordable price range. Cheddar's has always been full of patrons, a favorite for locals and travelers alike, a testament to the unique blend of quality food and affordable pricing it offers. I have had the grilled salmon as well as a grilled chicken lunch salad, and was very impressed with both. The service is always doting, friendly, and attentive to the needs of patrons. Cheddar's is always a solid option for a quick but high quality meal at a reasonable price.

Been here once and that was too often. Terrible meal for all 5 of us. Shepards pie was like dog food over instant mashed potatoes. Will NEVER return or recommend this place. Service was slow and non caring. Did not know how to handle our disatisfaction. I rate it minus 20 stars. Only reason I gave one star is because you have to before you can post your comment.

    (1)

I would had rated 4 stars but when we ordered a loaded baked potato it came to the table with just cheese and butter we asked where the bacon was and they said it would cost extra I don't see how they can call that a loaded baked potato

Good good, sensible prices & good portions keep this place packed. sirloin steak came encrusted with parmesan and garlic with onions. A little heavy tasting compared to Texas Roadhouse & it's 2nd to their sirlion steak. They do have to go service.

There is almost always a wait especially at dinnertime. But we have typically waited no more than 20-25 minutes. Interior is definitely on the dark side but the actual sitting areas are fine. Service is typically very good. Food is very good. Drinks are a great deal. It's really nice because for about $50 plus tip my fiance and I can get an appetizer, couple alcoholic drinks, and dinner. Not bad. Cheddar's is a nice addition to the area.

WHAT no more chicken and waffles?! The waitress said it's because they were not made in house. The same as the shepherds pie and pot roast which are no longer offered as well. The ribs are slightly tough and lack flavor. House salad and croissants are delicious. Country fried chicken and mashed potatoes are delish as well.

We stopped in Cheddars for an early dinner. I had the veggie sides platter, my hubby had the sausage shrimp penne pasta. All of my food was good and the croissant was delicious. My hubby's pasta was just ok, not great. The cheese fries went past us, we didn't have them but they looked awesome! We sat at the bar and the bartenders were attentive and friendly. The prices were about average.

*EDIT* I had to go back and edit this review, because after trying to eat at Cheddar's two more times after my initial review - at 9 and 10pm mind you - there's always a 45 minute wait. I totally stopped trying to eat here because of this problem. I once passed by Cheddar's at 10am on a weekday and the parking lot was full... WTF?! Forget trying to even go here, and do yourself a favor by saving the time trying to find parking, walking up to the hostess podium, finding out the wait is 45 minutes, walking back out to the car, then finding another place and just skip it and visit Coasters off Eau Galle or The Mansion down by the causeway. Waste of time. Food's good and cheap, nice place, but screw the wait! Not worth it! Original Review: Always a good choice for an affordable dinner. Food is above average, and the prices are hard to beat. Service is always good/great, and food comes out quick! Atmosphere is nice, very classy look/feel for a bargain restaurant. Full bar in a separate area as to not interfere with quiet seating. Only catch is there is always a line during the dinner rush. Arrive earlier or later and walk right in, no problem!

Had a great meal. Split Potato Soup, Shrimp and Ribs, sides of fresh buttered corn and broccoli Cheese Casserole and added a side salad with the lime dressing. Had a most delicious croissant on the side. All great. We will come BTW the salad dressing had a peanut base for those allergic

Jarrod provided the best service I've had anywhere in a long time! We were both amazed. The food was great as well....it was just in the shadow of the greatness of the service.

Interesting food choices (the Monte Cristo is a must have for us chubby kids), decent decor and lighting, if on the dark side, and attentive, fast service. I'm in love with their honey butter croissants and honey lime dressing. Apparently, everything good just comes slathered in honey. Average prices and a decent value, I felt.

Honey croissants were awesome. Service was good. Had the ribs. They were good. Broccoli casserole was good. Spinach dip was just ok.

I came here with my entire family and family friends while I was in town for the holidays. I had heard good reviews about it from my parents, and they wanted me to try it out. So we decided that our party of 9 would have dinner on a Sunday night. This establishment is off New Haven a short distance from the Melbourne Mall. It is a deceptively small, quaint appearing restaurant. From the sight of the long lines of people waiting for a table, this place is pretty packed. I noticed that all of the servers were wearing uniforms; my sister reassured me that when I look at the menu, I would see that the menu items and prices coincide more with a casual burger joint than the uniforms, dim lighting, large brick interior, etc. made them appear to be. It was a fairly long wait- a little over an hour. We were eventually seated and immediately greeted by our server Lauren. When I looked at the menu, my jaws dropped at the prices. Most of the menu items were less than $10 an entree, even for dinner! They have a fairly extensive menu selection to boot. Their margaritas were $3.99. I ordered their specialty drink, the "painkiller", which only set us back $5.99. I was floored; I would expect to pay almost double that price at other establishments in my current state of Virginia. Even the gigantic onion ring appetizer that fed 9 of us at 2-3 onion rings each only costed $4.49. Again, that's like the cost of a soup appetizer....but for that many onion rings? And they were delish too. I ordered the half rack of ribs ($9.99 with 2 sides). It was decent; not the best I've ever had. I don't know if I would order this entree again. My side of roasted edamame was good too. The fries were the usual fries. I tried my brother's chicken waffle ($8.99); the waffle was a bit flour-y, but the chicken was decent. My sister had the New Orleans pasta for $9.99, and it was brought out in a hearty portion and pretty good as well. Lauren was great. She was always pleasant, did her server duties well and definitely earned her full 20% tip. Other things to note: the bathrooms were kept clean, the place is crowded so it can be hard to have a nice dinner conversation, and remember to expect a wait on all nights if you come here for dinner. At the end of it all, for 9 entrees, 1 onion ring appetizer and 8 drinks (beers, margaritas, etc.), the bill only came out to $130.83. My family and I normally try to guess the bill before we see it, and my family members overshot their guesses by about $20. It was super cheap; no wonder people (including my parents) love coming here. Definitely worth the wait. The food is pretty good, the prices are crazy better. And I was very happy with the lively ambience and great service provided too. My family and I returned here for dinner 4 nights after. Yup, check this place out.

Great service and the was the best! I had the bacon cheese burger and it was one of the best burgers I have had in this area. My son had chicken tenders that tasted homemade not store bought. My wife had the Asian salad and it was huge! She said it was very good and would eat it again. We will return!

I've eaten here with friends a couple times now. Never had a good meal yet...and the bartenders need a lot ml ore training. Even classic cocktails like Manhattan and Old Fashioneds seem to be a struggle.

Okay, I'm a fan! I love me some Cheddar's. I went here for the first time with my boss when we were in the area (driving to Fort Lauderdale). I had never heard of or eaten at one before, and he told me it was good. Well, let me tell you - it's REALLY good. For the price, it can't be beat. My first experience was at lunch, and I was shocked that on a Monday afternoon, they were on a 20-30 minute wait. HONESTLY. The restaurant was packed and there were people waiting for tables. Prices are low, portions are large and food is all delicious. What else can I say? Service is great - the servers really want you to enjoy yourselves. Food is delivered quickly, drinks are kept refilled. If you're in the area and want a good place to have lunch or dinner, check it out!

Been here several different occasions to try it out and each time I regret it, finally this last time I will never step foot in this place again. The waitstaff is horrible and the manager who came out after wife soup was ice cold and my son had raw chicken breast( which was cut in strips and clearly noticeable) was even more incompetent. The specialty drinks are decent and the prices are cheap, but it's worth to spend a few more dollars to have a decent meal and service. This place is a joke don't waste your time or money

  • Jetset A.

Drinks are good price for night out. Food is 'meh' not sure about all the hype! Cheddars in Tampa, Fl much better and set bar much higher. Service is good. Usually busy so be prepared to wait if you go during peak times. They messed up both our steak orders and the manager mailed some vouchers for us to try again. Mine was raw when I ordered well done and my fiancé ordered medium well and got half over cooked and half mostly fat. Next time will stick to only steak houses for steak no matter how much I crave it!!

Nothing exciting at this place other than the set up and atmosphere. Don't like their food. Taste almost below average for the awesome dining setup they have. Could offer some what of a more upscale food selection for the look of the place.

Went here for lunch. The service was top notch. We had a big party and the waitress handled all the orders very well. The food arrived quickly and drinks were refilled promptly. The food was delicious and the portions were enormous. I had the country fried steak and was unable to finish it. The meat was excellent. It also came with two sides. I got the broccoli cheese casserole and the mashed potatoes. Both were excellent. The restaurant is in great condition, looks nice inside and has a lot of seating. Very good experience and will likely return.

Ok first time here. Service is ok a little on the slow side.had wait for refills for drinks, I ordered steak with loaded bake potato, steak was good, potato was cold when served also had ordered chicken tortilla soup. It was more tomato soup than anything. Chance of return vist is silm to none.

Not a place I'll be going back to. My nieces chicken tenders were undercooked, my sister in laws burger was undercooked and soaked in butter, my food was ok but neither of us are feeling quite well.

Being that they were new to town and VERY packed, I waited a couple of months to pay a visit to Cheddar's. My party of four got there around 10:00p.m. on a Friday night- plenty of time to enjoy a meal considering they close at midnight. We were greeted and seated promptly in our choice of dining area. Our server, Samantha, introduced herself and promptly brought our drinks and took our orders. Everything was good so far. Unfortunately, this is the point our experience started to slip. We ordered a round of their buttered croissants- They were delicious, but I would have really prefered to eat mine over a plate. Samantha'd brought them to the table and promised she'd be right back with plates and another hot tea for my friend . . . Instead, she seated two other tables and though we tried to get her attention, she disregarded our attempts. Stuff like this happens-- everyone gets distracted... No big deal. Our meals arrive, and she had no clue where to place them. Again, no biggie. The portions were ample for the price, and the food wasn't winning awards, but it certainly was no worse than other chains. I'd decided to treat myself to a steak- cooked Medium. The first one arrived well-done and old. I could tell that it'd been sitting under a heat lamp. It tasted like a grease-covered football. I requested to send it back, and our server did so promptly and apologetically. A few minutes later, my completely raw steak was served. At this point, I knew they were just trying to close the kitchen. I requested a manager. As I waited, I heard Samantha tell another table. "I'm so, so sorry. They're trying to close the kitchen and are making mistakes." Suspicion confirmed. It took many minutes for one to appear, and I was frustrated when the manager who came to my table was the same gentleman I'd watched horsing around with an employee at the entrance of the kitchen. He knew there was a customer complaint, but seemed far more interested in goofing around and laughing with another individual... I expressed frustration with the food, didn't bother addressing his lackluster attitude, nor did I mention the scatterbrained moments from our server. In my discussion with the manager, I mentioned that they were probably trying to close the kitchen early. He became assertive in his posture and with his voice-- Stating they were DEFINITELY NOT attempting to close the kitchen early and that "my grill is still on." He followed up that he could "grill me another steak right now," citing his five years of experience at a steakhouse. Five years of experience at a steakhouse, and you'd serve that terrible of a steak? Twice? Then you'd horse around with a buddy rather than address a customer complaint? To their credit, they did take the "steak" off my bill. I would have rather been able to enjoy a good meal with my friends in a casual, but professional place. Perhaps it was just my bad luck, but I'm not a fan of relying on "luck," when it comes to my dining experiences. I just want good food and good service.

We've visited twice and always had great food and great service. One time, my green beans had a single hair in it. I brought it up to the manager who took my meal off the receipt and gave me a new batch of green beans right away. That's A+ service! The meals have huge portions but are not pricey at all.

Some of the best service I've ever had in a restaurant. All of the food was fresh and came out quick! Queso was delicious and chips were light. Chicken tortilla soup was perfectly spicy for a cold day. Chicken Pot pie felt homemade and tasted great! So glad to find a great, affordable restaurant in Melbourne! Keep up the great work!

Went to cheddars in Melbourne yesterday. The place is very clean ( because it's a new building). The staff very friendly and attentive to your needs. The food to me I found average at best. Had the chicken fried steak. I found that it had no flavor at all. I would say I was disappointed after all the hype.

Went in for dinner last week. It was around 6pm. Place was packed! We waited about 45 minutes to be seated so we were hungry and ready to place our order. The waiter was awesome! He was quick, efficient and very friendly! The food came out in a timely manner even though they were busy. Food was a hot and really good. Can't wait to go back and try the chicken fingers. Saw many served and they look awesome!

The Santa Fe spinach dip is absolutely yummy! When I go back I may just order this alone. It comes with a ton of bottomless chips and it also comes with salsa. The salsa is good but the spinach dip is the real star. Highly recommend. I also had a cheeseburger that I got with barbecue sauce and fries. The burger wasn't too bad. Not the best I've had but then again I've eaten a ton if burgers. The fries were pretty good as well. My friend and I had food service and it was our first time eating there and we were both pleased .

This was our second time here, we thought we would go back on a night that was as busy, but still busy, not sure if they ever have a slow period. We had Jared as our waiter, what a great guy. I enjoyed how great of a job he did working his entire section. I ordered the ribs, he was great about making recommendations and listening to what your taste were. Not sure if he is a trainer there, but he should be. He is great with customers and others working in his area. The food was really good again. We most definately go back, and will most likely ask for Jared as our waiter. Oh and the prices are very reasonable.

Excellent service from Eugene on 9/25/14. The food was excellent, but the service was a 10! 10/1/2014 Too bad this place doesn't take reservations. I tried to make reservations for 15 people, but the person answering the phone said it's their policy to not take any reservations even for a large party trying to have a business meeting. We'll go elsewhere if we cannot get in to have our meeting.

Went there for dinner and will never go back!! The waitress was rude made me feel very uncomfortable and the food was horrible. My husband and I could not even eat our food. The only thing that was good was the crescent roll they served. I would not go there!!!

Visit for lunch on 6/29. Host, hostess, and servers were all excellent! Food was awesome. As a table we order Grilled Salmon, Grilled Whitefish, Grilled Tilapia w/ mango salsa, and a cheese burger. All sides were good as well. Good portion for the price. Highly recommend.

So I have been there twice now and will not be back. I will start with the good, just because the list is so small. The croissants, which cost extra, are excellent. Flaky and just a little sweet, they are seriously some of the best I have ever had. The sides are also excellent. I also enjoyed the drinks I had from the bar. The bad. The serving sizes are small. The food is not great. I have sampled 4 dished now and didn't really care for any of them. The steak was so over seasoned I would have sent it back if it had been mine. The chicken and waffles was ok, but you don't get any sides with that one, which is a shame as the sides are by far the best part of the meal. The other two were ok at best. Fries are extra if you order a burger, a crime in my opinion. The prices are ok but do no think you will get a lot of food for the price. The service was fine and the décor is nice, though a little odd to me. Also they keep it COLD. Bring a jacket even in summer! Better yet, just skip going to begin with.

This is the second time i've been to Cheddars. first time was lunch and there was a long line. since it had just recrntly opened i thought it was just crowded because it was new. Just recently went back for dinner with friends and still faced a long wait to get in. Two stars because the food was OK, and when i say ok, i mean it was dry and overcooked. And the service was really bad. Bottled Beers took longer to come to our table than mixed drinks. second and third orders took just as long, so after a while started asking for the next round immediately after the last was brought. The waitress did not know the menu, when i asked for the salad, was not delivered. when i informed the waitress, she said 'sorry' and that she thought the salad came with the meal. Already mentioned the entree itself was dry and overdone. and the wrong dessert was brought twice before she finally apologized and entered the right dessert order. And this wasn't because she singled me out. She screwed up the order of half the table. overall, I counted our waitress saying sorry five separate times; the first time I ever heard that many sorries from one waitress. Will not repeat. Stay away. You've been warned.

I think this place is amazing. The food is always good, the price is really decent, and the servers are excellent. We have yet to have the same server and they all do such an great job. We have tried the Chicken & Waffles, New Orlean Pasta (so good), Salmon, Southern Country chicken, Chicken Pot Pie, Buffalo Chicken Wrap, Monte Cristo, etc...All tasty and worth having again and again.

So with this restaurant being so new, there are obviously going to be some kinks that have to be worked out but overall my experience there was pretty good as the food was great but the service wasn't at the standard it should be. I went last night with 3 friends and were surprised to find that our wait was only 10 minutes (we thought it'd be longer) so that was a bonus. The waitress was very polite and friendly, maybe a little to perky but not bad. We placed a drink order and while we were waiting for the drinks, she brought us waters which was nice. It took about 15 minutes for our drinks to arrive as the bar was pretty backed up she said. We ordered the chips and spinach dip for an appetizer when we ordered our drinks and I would say it took roughly about 15 minutes to get that as well. The chips went fast so we asked for more and that took an extra 10 minutes to get, by this time the dip was cold. The main issue I have with the evening was how long it took to get our food, it took over an hour just to get our main courses!!! When we finally did get the main course we were missing an order of croissants so she went back to get them but by the time they got to the table, we were done eating (about 30 minutes later). She did apologize for the wait but I really feel she could have probably done a bit more by maybe comping our appetizer or giving a free beverage or something but her comment was, "I like you guys but not enough to lose my job by giving you free stuff". What kind of a comment is that?? The manager did come over to offer her apology for the wait and gave us the croissants for free ($2.49 on $70 bill) but was not very authentic as far as her overall apology for the wait. My buddy jokingly asked for a free margarita as we had already had one and her comment was, "Sorry that's illegal".....I'm not sure how that is illegal but in any case, probably was not the best thing to say. The icing on the cake was when the waitress came back and asked if we wanted dessert and looked straight at me and said, "You look like you eat a lot of dessert".....now I'm not a sensitive guy but if I was, I could have been very offended thinking she was calling me fat....not an appropriate comment to say to any customer ever! Overall I was impressed with the decor and the food but I really think the staff needs a bit more training. What I would have done if I were the manager was to apologize and offer to comp a portion of the ticket which would allow us to spend more money on drinks....this would have been very smart as we would have absolutely done it and they would have made more money on drinks! Bottomline, in the opening week, it is key to make your customer happy and the 4 of us walked away with a not so good opinion.

Very good. The service was excellent and the food was very good. The best, however, was the atmosphere (not that the food or service weren't good, they were great!) It has a very modern structure and the bathrooms are very clean. I very much recommend it and will definitely come again!

Great place to eat. We went on 2/23/14 and had to wait 15-20 mins but it was worth the wait. We ordered the Ribs and tenders the ribs were fall of the bone and the sauce was amazing not mention the chicken tenders. I would recommend this place

This was our first visit to Chedder's. Will not be our last. There was no wait time. Our server Chris was helpful, knowledgeable, and fun (yes I said fun). If you visit, ask for Chris and find out for yourself. Now as for the food. I haven't forgot. We had the onion rings. No lie, hands down the best onion rings I've eaten.... EVER! I found out that they are not brought in (frozen) but individually hand sliced and melt in your mouth rings from heaven. The ranch sauce was so good my wife wanted an IV of it. For my main I had the Monte Cristo (LOVED IT!) with a side of french fries with a dash of old bay seasoning. The woman of my life had the mouth watering, cut with a fork (probably could have used a spoon) Garlic Parmesan Sirloin Steak with garlic parmesan cheese crust over caramelized onions. We loved it and you will too.

Tried this place around 4:00 pm Sat. Minimal wait time, the food was really good as were the prices. The wait staff was attentive and professionall. I have read the bad reviews on here about Cheddars but I just didnt see anything like what they describe

Had the bacon cheese Burger with Onion Rings. The burger necessarily wasnt my cup of tea. The flavor of the burger and the onion rings (without the sauce) was pretty bland. I would try something different the next time around. I heard a lot of good things about their chicken tenders, and chicken sandwhich. So I will give that a try the next time.

I have been to Cheddar's twice. My experience is that the food is cheap and you get what you pay for. The drinks, on the other hand, are cheap and excellent. People rave about how cheap the food is but I am not sure what they are eating because to me it is basically cafeteria quality food on a plate. If you are going for the Monte Cristo, hoping to relive your favorite Bennigan's sandwich, you will be GREATLY disappointed. It's greasy. It doesn't have that great crispy crust. It is basically a mushy sandwich full of oil. If I ever venture there again it will be for a huge margarita and an appetizer and I will call it a done deal.

My boyfriend and I went in there tonight 4/16 and we really enjoyed the whole experience. Our server Christian was attentive and very friendly. The food we ordered was salmon, sirloin and shrimp entrees, both were delicious and so reasonably priced we will be going back this week with our friends to try something new.

A delicious meal for a good price. Although the place looked busy, we only waited about 5 minutes. Our waitress was very friendly, ans the food arrived quickly (but not all in one shot; I had time to enjoy my salad) I ordered chicken pot pie (served in a bowl with a top crust) and my husband ordered chicken and waffles. Both of us enjoyed our meal! We'd like to go back again when we are in town! Bring a sweater if you get chilly though...it was cold in there!

I cant believe i lived in the Dallas/Fort Worth area for four years and never tried Cheddars. This is a great chain with great food for great prices. I was amazed at the price to quality and taste of food ratio. I had some of the best onion rings I've ever had here and you get a mountain of them for four dollars. Also the salmon is really good an highly regarded by my sister who took me here. If your looking for good food for a good price Cheddars will hit the spot. I will be visiting my sister more often.

First visit on a Sunday night, there was about a 30 minute wait which isn't bad for a weekend. The food was great, portion size was perfect and the value was amazing, $31 for an appetizer, 2 entrees and 2 soft drinks. Had the spinach dip and the bourbon glazed salmon with broccoli casserole side, all yummy. BF also enjoyed the chicken fried steak. Fruity lemonades were good too. Waitress was great, very attentive without being annoying. With the crowd, I was worried we'd get stuck at a crammed tiny 2-person table but we were seated in a small booth with plenty of room for 2. It was quite loud, to the point of not hearing the waitress well sometimes. And it was a little chilly with A/C and ceiling fans going.

This was a nice restaurant. We went on a Wednesday afternoon and it was packed! Alcoholic drinks are a bargain here compared to other restaurants. $3.50 for Long Island ice tea. I got the non-alcoholic peach tea, yum. Food was good. I got the double decker club with potato soup. Boyfriend got ribs and chicken fingers. The meat was falling off bone on ribs.

Huge portions and food was excellent! We had 5 meals, two desserts and two coffee's and bill was 62 dollars! Pretty great don't you think? Couldn't get over how tasty everything was. Going back today before we leave Melbourne. Yum!! Excellent, cheap, great service

Crowded as heck, but food served in a timely manner. Lots of families with small children. Quite loud. Food was actually cheap. Enjoyed our meal, will def. go back when the crowd settles down . 40 dollars for 3 people with appetizers

I have gone to Cheddars three times now. Each time I have been happy with what I ordered and I was really pleased with the drinks. The service was lackluster each time but they're also very busy and we were sat more in the bar area then in the main dinning area. Expect a wait time for a seat and expect a wait time to be served. You can't beat their prices though! The decor is trendy and I have to say for the place being so busy it is very clean.

Just had our first visit to Cheddar's. I don't think we're going back. The main reason is that the noise level was EXTREMELY LOUD! Most restaurants are generally just a little loud. Something in the construction of this place causes the noise to just amplify to a level that will cause you to rush through your dinner to get out of there. To add insult to injury, we had 2 tables near us with little kids and a baby. The crying baby almost made us move to a new table and the other one with kids(Running wild down the row between the booths) was causing many stares from neighboring booths. The food was average. I had the Key West chicken and shrimp. Chicken had burnt areas. Ordered Chocolate Croissant bread pudding - Bread pudding was not warmed. Didn't want to wait for the waitress to work back around to us so we just muscled through it. Waitress was not very upbeat and seemed to not want to be there. So basically: Food - average. Service - below average atmosphere - Very Bad!

    (2)
  • Paula M.

Very loud atmosphere, seated as promptly as possible. There was no gluten free menu and our server had like to no knowledge of gluten free requirements. The kitchen must have lacked any knowledge of gluten free because I requested that my meal (which was suppose to come on a bed of rice) come that exact way on rice. I explained that plain rice was acceptable to gluten free eating but my entrée arrived without rice. I ended up educating our server on basic Gluten Free requirements. That is something management should have thought of. Most large chains provide a gluten free menu but we were surprised when Cheddar's did not provide for a gluten free customer. Poor planning and training.
